These paintings are about desire, longing, nostalgia, the sublime and the pursuit of beauty. They are also ironic, employing specifically random imagery, out of scale and layered upon one another, creating and questioning meaning. It is my hope to create a visual vocabulary that hints at socialization, hidden drives, animal nature, nature distilled, psychological states and patterns of behavior.
